convention: Pittsburgh Comicon 2007
title: N/A
characters: Psylocke (X-Men)
awards: 2nd Place Adult Division

Somehow, every time I get up on stage I'm twice as nervous as the last time. It must have something to do with practice, because I came up with this one the morning of the event. It's a tiny little con with a tiny stage in a tiny room, but I was scared out of my mind. I had planned to say at least 4 or 5 sentences, and I repeated them over and over to myself until the moment I walked on stage, but as soon as I got up there they were gone. I still managed to get out the first and last lines though and not look like a complete idiot (and took home an award) so it was at least somewhat of a success.

convention: Pittsburgh Comicon 2006
title: N/A
characters: Taki (Soul Calibur), Alucard & Yumiko (Hellsing)

This is the first skit I ever took part in for my friends. I was glad to do it, but unfortunately I live a state away from them, so while I read the script a hundred times, I never once got the chance to actually perform it with them until we were on stage in front of a crowd. Add my extreme stage fright to that and disaster was imminent from the start. My friends forgave me though, and even still the only reason we didn't win an award was because we were anime and video game characters at a comic convention.

convention: Tekkoshocon 2005
title: A Bishounen's Secret Fantasy
characters: Kaiba Seto (Yu-Gi-Oh)
awards: NessaChan's Judge's Award (craftsmanship)

Over two years after my first masquerade performance I finally decided to return to the stage. None of my friends who I had planned to do skits with could make it to the con but I wanted to participate in the masquerade very badly, so I came up with a solo skit. I was told I didn't look nervous on stage, but I swear to you I was about to pee in my pleather pants XD
I didn't win any official awards for the skit, but the audience laughter and compliments I got from fans afterwards was reward enough for me ^^

convention: Ohayocon 2003
title: Broken Mobius
characters: SailorUranus & SailorSaturn (Sailormoon)
awards: Best Novice Performance

This skit was performed by my little sister Brittany and I at our first anime convention. We were both extremely obsessed with SeraMyu at the time and our first costumes were SeraMyu-style Uranus and Saturn, so we decided to do a SeraMyu skit. We choreographed a dance number and sang "Broken Mobius" from Ankoku no Princess Black Lady. It went over very well with the crowd and we took home Best Novice Performance.
