Cosplay/Masquerade Judging
Shinbokucon 2008: Cosplay Craftsmanship & Masquerade Performance
Tekkoshocon 2008: Masquerade Performance Judge
Harucon 2006: Cosplay Craftsmanship & Masquerade Performance
Harucon 2005: Cosplay Craftsmanship
There's almost nothing I consider more of an honor than to judge masquerade performance, which is strange because I've never given much concern to whether my costumes have won awards or not. I absolutely love watching masquerade skits however, and have been doing so obsessively even before I started going to anime conventions (thus my love for DeathCom). I don't have any theater experience or training, but I consider myself a very critical judge of the entertainment value and amount of time and effort that goes in to performing a skit. I don't know why, but the masquerade at any convention is very important to me ^^

Video Game Tournament Judging

Ohayocon 2004: DDR Freestyle tournament
I was unexpectedly
asked to judge this tournament. It was neat because I had never judged
anything before and a DDR tournament seemed like a good place to start. It
was fun to watch all the freestylists and listen to everyone cheer for
them, but my Guu costume was killing me at the time and I just wanted to
get out of it. It also didn't help that I was already a little angry at
the DDR tournaments in general because they took too long and cut into our
Double Dash tournament time.
Ohayocon 2004: MarioKart Double Dash tournament
Helping to run this
tournament was so much fun!! Since I knew about it before the con, I was
able to prepare by printing out little pieces of paper with all the course
names and characters on them so we could draw them randomly at the
tournament. We had some problems with attendance because the DDR
tournaments took way too long, but it all worked out in the end and we
held a very fun and successful tournament!

Pretty Guardian Sailormoon/SeraMyu panel
Ohayocon 2005
I was asked a few nights before Ohayocon to run the SeraMyu portion of this panel. Unfortunately, I didn't get very much time to do so, seeing as the PGSM part ran longer than expected, but it was still a successful panel and I'm glad I got to be a part of it. Thanks to Brittany for helping me out!

Otaku Family Feud
Ohayocon 2004
Participating in the Otaku Family Feud was one of the most fun things I've ever done at a convention! Mark (Luigi) placed second in the preliminary round out of maybe 25 other contestants, getting our "family" of five up on stage. We did very poorly the first half of the game but miraculously came back in the end and won! It was so much fun! Thanks for getting us all together to do it, Crystal (Chidori)!
