Haruno Sakura

Inspiration: Two groups of friends were doing a Naruto group and neither had a Sakura. I never really thought about doing a Naruto cosplay before my friends asked me to do it but I'm very glad I did!
Design: I had limited time to complete this costume, so I decided to do the version without the sleeves (I always liked it better without sleeves anyway). I went for a darker color as well, and used the white bridal satin left over from my Michiru dress for the white. I wanted to do long-haired Sakura because I think she's prettier and I didn't want another short pink wig :P
Construction: I picked out casa satin for Sakura's outfit. We modified a pattern to make the outfit, and the circle was ironed on. The shoes were constructed by making custom socks cut off at the toes and wearing slippers. A friend made the forehead protector and it came out gorgeous!
Favorite Aspect: It's my most comfortable costume to wear despite the fact that I sweat in it. It's easy to move in and fairly simple to put on. And of course I love the headband because it fits perfectly! I don't even remember that I have it on!
Costume Difficulties: Sadly, the wig gets very itchy and annoying very quickly because of the bangs. This was also my first straight long-haired wig and I learned how easily it gets tangled >_<
