Guu

Inspiration: I watched Guu with the anime club at my college and fell in love with it! We were originally planning to do a huge Guu group but that never happened :\
Design: Guu is Guu, but I've still seen many modifications to the outfit. I had never seen another Guu cosplayer when I made my costume, so the anime was my only reference. The yellow top on mine is the most narrow of the costumes I've seen, but making the pink dress start high up helps the illusion of being Guu--she doesn't have human proportions! I also made 14 pokute, 5 manda and a Hee XD
Construction: The costume is all one-piece. The yellow top is a sports bra with yellow knit material sewed onto it so it can overlap itself and make the three "stripes" that her anime costume consists of. Netting under the pink outer layer of fabric keeps the dress from laying flat.
Favorite Aspect: The costume has a very clean look to it, being only two bright colors, not having much detail, no shoes, and a simple wig. This makes it easy to see and register the character among the hundreds of other costumes at cons. And of course just being Guu is awesome ^^
